Bridging Code and Culture
Where Technology Meets Translation
I am a software engineer with extensive experience building telecommunications solutions, including hosted PBX systems at a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC). I run a Gentoo Linux system and have strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Python, and several other programming languages.
My technical background includes developing custom AI-powered tools that automatically transcribe audio and video content, generate localized subtitles, and support multilingual adaptation. I also have advanced video and audio processing capabilities: I can strip audio from videos, overlay new audio tracks, and hardcode subtitles – whether they are localized translations or transcriptions from the original audio in the same language.
In addition to my technical expertise, I am passionate about languages and cross-cultural exchange. I have an intermediate level of Spanish and previously studied French. I also possess a deep understanding of Asian cultures and Islam, gained through years of personal study and meaningful connections with people from diverse backgrounds. I enjoy learning about different cultures, religions, traditions, and cuisines, which has fostered strong cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
On my own time, I actively study various medical fields, further broadening my ability to understand and communicate complex subject matter. Although I am just beginning my journey as a localization and translation volunteer, I bring a unique combination of technical capabilities, linguistic enthusiasm, and cultural awareness to support high-quality, accessible translations and subtitled content.
